COOKIN’ IN THE KITCHEN

Let’s get cookin’ this summer! Join this class if you want your children to learn all about the joy of cooking and baking. They will learn how to make simple and delicious meals which can then be shared with their loved ones. Students will make one or two recipes per class as well as receive recipe cards to enjoy any time in the future. By the end of this course the little chefs will be able to present a fabulous feast by serving you full day’s worth of meals.

ETIQUETTE 101

Etiquette is not about strict rules and regulations that society imposes on us, but it’s more about respecting oneself and others. It helps create a better version of ourselves, and this can be done in an easygoing way. It can also be lots of fun, and this is what we will learn in our etiquette classes. The way we treat each other is contagious. Courtesy and being respectful to others is contagious too and that the great thing about practicing etiquette. We will address the following: Appropriate behavior in different situations, Proper Greetings and Introductions, Table setting, Food, Dining, Gestures, Body Language and Personal Space, Punctuality, Conversation, Appearance, Cell phones, Gift Giving, Cross-Cultural Relationship Management., Do’s and don't

HOW TO BE A TV ANCHOR

Create your own TV news update and get in the shoes of a tv anchor.

Materials needed: Phone or video video camera and a green screen.

HOW TO BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOU

This innovative course tackles and approaches different ways to exploit a person's strengths and really learn how to be a true leader and positive influence to one's peers. This course will offer tips and tricks on how to deal with shortcomings, and how to thrive when an opportunity is at hand. Furthermore, a light will be shed on how one could be an effective and noteworthy leader that possesses virtuous traits such as honesty, integrity, and fortitude. 


Materials needed: Pen and paper

HOW TO MAKE SOCIAL MEDIA THAT MATTERS

For the generation born on the internet, it almost comes as second nature to have social media! From dancing TikToks and Retweets to Instagram selfies and baby influencers - the internet is full of different ways to be active online. But how can we use these platforms to build our personal stories and brands? More importantly, how can we use them responsibly? There are plenty of good things about social media, and lots of things to avoid. In this course, participants will dive into the world of social media to learn how to effectively engage online, create content and even build their own personal brands in a fun and responsible way (at least creating content that won't come back to haunt you as an adult!).         

Materials needed: Laptop, paper, pens/markers, a space to record/film yourself, Instagram account (if applicable)

INSTA TOOLS/TECHNO LAND

This course will help your child understand the basic tools of social media and how to use it as a platform to start a useful blog, market a product they want to sell, or promote an iea. They will learn how to create interesting content, reach their target audience, read insights, and engage with their followers.

Materials needed: Notebook, pencil, mobile or laptop.

KIDPRENEUR

This course will teach kids how to come up with new ideas, take it all the way to a business in one week, and see it fully come to life. Kids will learn to understand basic business concepts in a very fun and interactive way. Together we are creating the next generation of entrepreneurs.

KIDSKILLS

Learn how to plan your day ahead, to study and manage your time. Introducing new ways to study in order to improve your grades and get more free time. Discuss how to set daily goals, prepare a good study environment and discuss the importance of being organized and always prepared

LITTLE CHEFS

In this course, our little chefs will learn to recognize and use tools and appliances in the kitchen. Our class is fun, safe and it teaches kids how to make healthy food choices that will impress their families.

LOOK GOOD, FEEL GOOD: INTRODUCTION TO FASHION PSYCHOLOGY

This course breaks new ground by applying psychological science in the context of fashion to enable an evidence-based understanding of how well-being can be directly triggered by our style. Throughout the week, students will understand more about how the different colors, fabrics, patterns, and general garments can affect how we feel. So, can we really feel better, happier, and more confident simply through our styling choices? All sessions will end with a question for students to think about and take-away for the next session. This may include trying to think about how they dress, how they feel, and their clothing associations. This will be the discussed at the beginning of each session. Dress up, show up, and get ready to never look at your closet the same way again! No material needed.

MINDFULNESS AND POSITIVE THINKING

A very brief introduction to mindfulness and positive psychology with a more hands-on focus on experiential learning, including meditative practices and other evidence-based strategies that cultivate positive emotion, and increase stress coping, empathy, optimism, resilience, compassion, and fulfillment.

Materials needed: A journal.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?

This course is all about career and passion discovery. We will bring in a specialist from a different career every day ranging from doctors, teachers, artists, entrepreneurs, engineers, bankers, etc to talk to the kids about what they do everyday at work. Kid will get a real feeling of what it means to have certain jobs,
