COURSE DESCRIPTION

BALANCED BITES

In this course your child will be able to understand the basic concepts of nutrition and how to apply it to their food selection. They will learn to read the labels on their food and understand the risks associated with processed foods. They will also learn to make delicious, simple, and healthy snacks at the end of each lesson.

Materials needed: Notebook, pencil, bananas, peanut butter, milk, berries or strawberries, yogurt, honey, granola, chia seeds, tortilla or pita bread, smoked turkey, lettuce, cream cheese, tomato, oatmeal, apples, cinnamon, avocados, any fruits.

BEING ACTIVE IS IMPORTANT

Our physical fitness program is perfect for Kids and Teens who need encouragement to create exercise habits in their daily lives. Participants learn how to build and tone muscles, increase lean body mass, and improve hand-eye coordination, balance, movement, cardiovascular-respiratory endurance, flexibility & agility. As a result of overall body conditioning and and increasing their physical fitness levels on a regular consistent basis.

B-URN AND THEHAPPY

This will be focused on some unique fitness workouts, dance and understanding the connection between mind and body. At B-urn Egypt we take a lot of care in educating the community about how to treat ourselves the way we deserve to be treated, physically and psychologically.

CREATE YOUR OWN FUN YOGA PRACTICE AT HOME

Yoga is such a beautiful practice for your mind, body and soul. There’s no such thing as starting yoga too early! In this fun 5 day program, you will your yoga journey and learn all about the fundamentals of yoga. By the end of this course, you will confidently be able to create your own yoga practice at home! No previous yoga experience is necessary.

Equipment needed: Yoga mat

DETOX YOGA FLOW

This class focuses on poses designed to detoxify your body It helps with weight control, increasing your energy, improving digestion, boosting metabolism and releasing toxins from your body. You will finish feeling detoxified from the inside out, more focused and completely transformed. Note: practicing is before eating or after eating with 2 hrs

Materials needed:  A yoga mat, small towel, and a pillow.

EMPOWER MINI KICKERS (AGES 5-7)

Empower Mini Kickers Program is designed by Empower Football Academy to introduce children to soccer in a fun, creative way. Using high levels of energy and imagination, our mini kickers start to build their fundamental movement skills in a safe, friendly environment. Taught in small groups, Empower Mini Kickers Program guarantees a lifelong love of soccer as children learn its basic skills but also leave with a positive, happy memory of the sport.

Equipment needed: A size 3 soccer ball, 8-10 colorful small objects (preferably training cones if available - the round little ones), 5 small/medium hula hoops, speakers, medium space (garden or indoors is fine), and at least one parent must be present the whole time.

FLEXIBILITY FOR TEENS (GIRLS ONLY, AGES 11-13)

This course is for teenagers who are not gymnasts or competition athletes but would like to start working on their flexibility and taking care of their bodies. I will work with them on stretches that will help to raise their confidence and create a positive association with what their bodies can do.

FLEXIBILITY & MOVEMENT (AGES 6-9)

This course aims to introduce kids to body movement and flexibility. It will help them to create connections between their brains and their bodies and enhance their coordination and confidence when moving or practicing any sports. Not suitable for gymnasts or completion athletes.

Equipment needed: Mat, chair, strap or scarf

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

This nutrition course is designated to enlighten students on the importance of healthy eating as well as making them familiar with the 7 essential nutrients and how to balance their meals so they can get the most of the abundance of good food available to us.


Material needed: Pen and paper to write down notes and frequently engage in drawing activities.

GYMNASTICS AND FLEXIBILITY

We will be doing basic gymnastics skills and working on our flexibility.

INTRO TO FITNESS

Its a beginner program for those of you who want to learn the basic movements in order to get your fitness levels up and prevent injury.

NUTRITION BASICS

Learn the building blocks of food, what are the types of nutrients, how to combine them together to create a healthy meal and have a better lifestyle

POWER GIRLS (GIRLS ONLY, AGES 8 - 10)

This course is for girls who are not gymnasts or competition athletes but still would like to have their splits or be strong enough to handstand or do acrobats. It will mix strength and flexibility exercises to raise their confidence and make them fall in love with body movement.

SOCCER 101: THE LIFE OF A SOCCER CHAMPION (GIRLS ONLY, AGES 8-13)

Learn the foundations of soccer on and off the field. In this course, you will learn how to live a life of an athlete beginning with training routines to eating and sleeping habits. Using physical literacy and exercise, this program is designed to boost girls’ knowledge, confidence, and self-esteem through sport. An interest in soccer, however small, is a must. We will be learning new skills on the ball and engaging in a lot of physical activity, so you will need a soccer ball and a positive attitude.

Equipment needed: A size 4 or size 5 soccer ball, a tennis ball, measuring tape, speakers, medium space (garden or indoors is fine), and a few water bottles

START RIGHT - NUTRITION AND HEALTHY LIVING

The course will cover key nutrition concepts like the difference between protein, fat and carbs, natural food versus processed food, natural sugar versus added sugar, what we should be including on our plates. the importance of meal times, how to pick healthy snacks, being active versus screen time, and the importance of sleep. The course will be fun and engaging and will include a number of activities like baking healthy pizza and muffins, making fruit smoothies and mini workout sessions to keep them active from home.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

We will be working on strengthening different parts of our body each class. We will be doing some cardio and strength exercises.

SUPERHERO YOGA

This course focuses mainly on your kids balance, strength, flexibility and it helps them to calm Down and increase their self control.

Equipment needed: Blocks & mat (or foam mat)

SUPER SPLITS

Dina Sabri

We will work together on your kids' hip & legs flexibility while strengthening the muscles of the lower body to reach their Dream Splits.

Equipment needed: Blocks & mat (or foam mat)

THE POWER OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

In this course we will go through the details of leading a healthy lifestyle by discussing what happens after the whole process of food absorption and digestion, where does each macronutrient and calorie go into our bodies, how does our bodies benefit from each nutrient and how bad food choices negatively impacts our health, body and brain.

THE POWER OF BEING FIT

Theoretical not practical - Here we will discuss the importance of physical activity as a main part of our daily life. How to make the time, find the motivation and understand the discipline of committing to our workouts. We’ll also learn how being Fit positively affects your thoughts, mental health and the relationship with yourself and others. Along side the physiological aspect and how sports will impact our health on the long term.

HEALTHY COOKING FOR FUTURE FOODIES

This course will be interactive. Sometimes healthy eating can be boring and intimidating for kids. We will be teaching kids all about eating healthy by helping them make their own little snacks. All the recipes will be very hands on, giving them a sense of achievement and making them more willing to try new things they wouldn’t usually eat before.
